Make a Facebook cover photo that fits on every screen
Drop in an image, drag and zoom it into place, and see exactly what phones crop away and where the profile picture overlaps. Export at Meta’s recommended 851×315 under 100 KB, or in high resolution.
What Meta actually recommends
According to Facebook’s Help Center, a Page cover loads fastest as an sRGB JPG that is 851 pixels wide, 315 pixels tall and under 100 kilobytes, must be at least 400×150, and on phones is shown left-aligned in a 2.4:1 frame. The profile picture overlaps the cover by about 40 px on mobile. Our guides show those areas so text doesn’t get cut.
The JPG export automatically searches for the highest quality that stays under 100 KB. For logos and text, PNG often looks sharper (Meta suggests this too).

Questions & answers
Why does my cover look blurry?
Facebook re-compresses covers. Start from a large, sharp image, export PNG for text-heavy designs, or tick Export at high resolution (1702×630) so it stays crisp on high-density screens.
