How to download a Facebook video on Android

Chrome, Samsung Internet or Edge on Android can do everything: download, merge 1080p, convert to MP3 and save to the gallery.

Steps

In the Facebook app tap Share → Copy link on the video.
Open Chrome and go to the downloader, tap Paste.
Choose a quality. The finished file goes to your Downloads folder and shows up in Google Photos / Gallery under “Downloads”.

Install it like an app

In Chrome’s menu tap Add to Home screen. FB Media Tools then opens like an app.

Private group videos on Android

Open the post in Chrome (logged in to Facebook in the browser), put view-source: in front of the address and load it, select all, copy, and paste into Private video mode.
